We have two doctor's appointments this week - our regular OBGYN visit and a growth ultrasound with the perinatologist. At the OB appt, everything was measuring on track and looking good, but I also had to take the one hour glucose test to check for gestational diabetes. Unfortunately I just found out that my sugar levels were too high so I'm going back on Thursday to take the three hour glucose test. When I got the phone call telling me I had failed the initial test, I almost started laughing - I mean, what else could possibly happen during this pregnancy?! Hopefully parenthood will agree with me more than pregnancy does!
Tomorrow's growth ultrasound appointment and the second glucose test has me a little anxious - so I'd really appreciate any prayers and good vibes you'd care to send our way!
