Happy 5 Month Birthday

December 22nd, marked Finley's five month birthday. Oh how she has grown - from 2 lbs 2 oz and 14 inches long to 11 lbs 8 oz and 23 inches long. She continues to be our sweet, sweet baby and smiles and giggles more each day. Finley is our daily joy and Andrew and I feel so blessed!

Lunch with Erica

Last week Finley and I were able to meet up with Erica, Finley's NICU nurse, for lunch. The last time Erica saw Finley, she was about 7 weeks old and only weighed 4 lbs 14 oz, so Finley had changed quite a lot! This was the first time Finley had gone out in public, and I was a little nervous about it, but Finley was her laid-back self and very well-behaved. I was a proud mama!

Giggles and Glee

Sweet Finley spends much of her time smiling and giggling. Everyday something new seems to make her laugh and today she was totally amused when I'd ask her to make the "bbb" sound. If I asked her to make another sound, I wouldn't get a response, but when I'd ask her to make the "bbb" sound, she'd start to smile and giggle. It was too cute so I took a little video of it. Enjoy!

Spreading Holiday Cheer

Finley was ready to go for a visit. Look at how cute the feet of her outfit are!

Auj and Finley spent a good while hanging out together and Finley had lots of smiles for her great grandmother.

A Little Perspective

Finley's four and half months old and she's done a lot of growing. She was born weighing only 2 lbs 2 oz and was 14 inches long. Now she weighs around 11 1/2 pounds and is about 22 1/2 inches long. Here are a couple of pictures to help document her growth. This first one shows a little preemie onesie compared to the size that she wears now. She used to be a skinny-minnie!

This picture shows Finley's footprints that the hospital made when she was born and her foot now. I was having problems taking the picture because Finley was intent on kicking her feet but you can still tell the huge size difference!

Holiday Pictures

It's always difficult to take holiday pictures - and it's even harder when a four month old is involved! We managed to get a couple of cute ones though, but we did have to give Finley her pacifier to keep her happy.

Getting into the Holiday Spirit

Finley got to help trim the tree this year. Here's a picture of Finley watching Andrew hang Finley's 'Baby's First Christmas' ornament.

Becky, one of my friends from high school, came by for a visit when she was in town for Thanksgiving. She brought Finley her first Christmas outfit and Finley looks adorable in it. Thanks Becky!
