We had our appointment for the growth ultrasound this morning and everything looks great! Baby Oliver's growth is still about 2 to 2.5 weeks behind, but it hasn't lagged any further behind which is wonderful news. Our perinatologist said he was very encouraged by it - which is high praise coming from him! Additionally, the amniotic fluid was normal, her kidneys and bladder were functioning appropriately, her heart still looked normal as did the brain. Like always, she was just bopping and moving all around, so much so that the ultrasound tech said we should name her something that means active! It was pretty cute - when the ultrasound tech tried to measure her head circumference the baby started shaking her head from side to side like she was dancing so it took awhile to get an accurate measurment! Her high activity level is definitely a good sign too. The plan now is to start seeing both our OB and perinatologist every two weeks to make sure she's still growing and isn't seeming stressed by her environment. As you can imagine, Andrew and I left the appointment feeling quite relieved! Thank you Lord for our answered prayers!

yay! keep boppin' around baby oliver! great news!
ReplyDeleteActive...well I guess like mother like daughter! Maybe you can teach her the "drop it like it's hot" move from our dancing out days. :) I'm so glad she's doing so well!
